Considering the vast advancements in technology and the times we live in, skills needed to compete in the workplace before the introduction of the 4IR are somewhat becoming obsolete today. Being ready for the future of work is one of the most important strategic steps to combat the Fourth Industrial Revolution's revolutionary effects. According to the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report, more than one-third of the skills considered to be important for today's workforce will have altered within a short period (WEF, 2018). They are constantly evaluating their methods and looking for ways to improve their teaching. These teachers are encouraged to step back from their classroom responsibilities and take on the role of researcher, developing research questions, collecting data, and analyzing it to better understand their own practice. As a result, South African youth struggle to make end

Teachers' impact on their students' lives cannot be overstated. Given that our country has a relatively low employment rate, instructors must help their students choose vocations that are in demand for future employability chances. Becoming a teacher implies that one has to be updated with the changes that take place in our world. Since teaching is the mother of all professions, teachers are responsible for giving guidance to their learners and ensuring that they enlighten them about the sectors that need a workforce. Such recommendations are impossible for a teacher to make without first conducting the necessary research. Teachers should learn how to adapt to change and further their profession as a result of living in a dynamic world. By employing previous tactics that worked well with previous pupils, teachers should not remain in their comfort zones, they should find new ways to accommodate the changes in time. According to the concept of a teacher-researcher, educators s
